Bird Travellers Stitchalong April
Oh, Kyoto! – In April the birds take us to Japan.
In Japan the tradition of Hanami ("flower viewing") is still celebrated today, and is based upon enjoying the transient beauty of flowers - usually the cherry blossom (sakura). These beautiful trees usually flower at the end of March and beginning of April, and are in bloom for such a short amount of time that there's a special cherry blossom forecast to help people know when to experience Hanami at its best.
